With the enthusiasm for our baseball-inspired surf hats the last few Summers, we felt it was time to give a little love to the sport we grew up loving the most: hoops.

Finding amusement in places where surf culture and sports intersect, I got to goofing around with our friend Sandro Young aka Dusty Nomad about some funny surf x basketball puns. Sandro has a shared affinity for waves, beaches, and hoops—resulting in his own passion project: Buckets and Dimes Co.

Consider this the first in a series of Almond Surfboards x Buckets and Dimes Co collaborations.
